ST MICHAEL’S, WINTERBOURNE STEEPLETON
The damaged ceiling has been repaired, thanks to grants from the Dorset Historic Churches Trust and Erskine Muton Trust.
The repair work was done by DJ Chutter Ltd and is virtually indistinguishable from the original, so well has it been done. The building is back in use and the previous pattern of services has resumed, ie Holy Communion at 1100 on the 2nd Sunday of the month.
Ellie Sturrock - Churchwarden
Notice regarding suspension of all church services
With the relaxation of some restrictions, we are now able to open the church for private prayer. The doors will therefore be open between 10:30am and 12:00 every morning Monday to Friday.
In order to maintain social distancing regulations and to reduce the dailing cleaning requirement, there will be restrictions as to which parts of the building and which pews you can access. We do not anticipate significant numbers wanting to visit at any one time, but please observe social distancing and other appropriate measures to ensure one another's safety and well being.
St Martin's Church will remain open during the usual day time hours for anyone wishing to visit.
We will keep you updated with any further developments via Church Notice Boards and social media.
