The 25% discount available to Valley Clubbers was put to good use at the Poundbury Garden Centre on the 14th April as Spotty Dotties, Japanese Cheesewoods and various slug barriers (remember last year's invasion?) were bought and taken home for the proper kick-off of the gardening season.
This shopping bonanza followed a presentation by John in the loft room where, over the mandatory tea and biscuits all the above plus much more was introduced to us.
The next Valley Cub event is a talk at the Village Hall where Steve Cox will be talking us through a history of trees.
A reminder - or an alert - about the village outing: half of the tickets have already been sold for our trip on the "Tivertonian" through the beautiful Devonshire landscape on Tuesday, the 1st July.
Book now to avoid disappointment!
